Migrating SAS® Performance Management Solutions from SAS release 9.1.3 to SAS 9.2 might fail with the following error

ERROR The import process has failed. An exception was thrown while sending a packet to the peer.

This occurs because the SAS Solutions Data Mart (SASSDM) calls a large xml document to do a batch metadata update, which results in an overflow of the I/O buffer.

This issue has been addressed and fixed in the SAS 9.2 maintenance 3 release. Please upgrade to SAS 9.2M3 to correct this problem.
